What is Hypnobirthing & The Positive Birth Program
Hypnobirthing is a method of childbirth education that focuses on positive birth. It’s suited to all women and support people who desire a calm and natural birth but will also give you the knowledge and tools to face any change in circumstance during labour and birth.
The Positive Birth Program is a 12 hour course developed by Hypnobirthing Australia™ where you will learn a combination of techniques to use during labour for a calm and comfortable birth. Some of these include deep relaxation, visualisation and self-hypnosis, movement, light touch massage, vocalisation, and acupressure.

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a midwife and a Mama who has experienced two positive and empowering births - a waterbirth and a land birth, both in the comfort of my own home. I’ve spent 13 years working in a busy tertiary hospital in Melbourne, across the continuum of care and know the ins-and-outs of the hospital system. Most recently I have worked in a Maternity Group Practice, with a deep seated philosophy for normal physiological birth. I have supported countless women and families on their birth journey. I am a strong advocate for confident and safe birth, and support women’s choices during labour and birth with the goal of a positive pregnancy, labour and transition to parenthood, no matter how your baby is born.
I have been to Tanzania working with and teaching skills to local midwives in a rural community, worked as a sessional facilitator at Deakin University and completed a Master’s Degree in Midwifery, implementing a waterbirth policy so women could choose to birth in water at my work place.
I would love nothing more than to connect with you to share my birthing wisdom and Hypnobirthing Australia™ method so you too can have the positive and empowered birth you deserve.
